Waystar is looking for an Application Engineer to design, build, and implement web and process applications for internal customers, and to resolve issues related to DevOps deployment code and processes.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of programming concepts
- Can code in one or more general purpose programming languages;C and.NET programming languagesarepreferred
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with infrastructure components such as servers, networking, load balancers, and MQ preferred
- Active use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and techniques to enhance performance, drive innovation, and improve decision-making across business functions
- Ability to leverage AI tools and platforms to streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and drive innovation
- Curiosity and adaptability in exploring emerging AI technologies, with a mindset for continuous learning and experimentation
Responsibilities
- Designs/develops/tests/implementsimprovements or new featuresin our core code deployment tools and supporting applications, based onthefunctional and technical specifications
- Responsible for adhering to coding standards andtheapproved technologies
- Unit tests all changes on development,and then workswith the appropriateBusiness and/orTechnologyOwner(s) to ensurethatthe developed solution meetsthebusiness requirements
- Takes ownership of work items assigned,communicates estimates and daily progress as part oftheSDLC process, and actively works to resolve issues blocking progress
- Assistsin the QA process
- Participates,as required,in Productiondeployment, providing instructionsand supportfor deployingthecodechanges successfully, andfor SmokeTesting code post-release
- Developsand maintainsopen and fluid communication withManagement
