Arconic is looking to solve real-world complexities in the aluminum extrusions plant for Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial and Defense facility through co-op programs with students from Purdue University.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering, Aeronautics and Astronautics, Aeronautical Engineering Technology
- Minimum 1 year of engineering coursework completed
- Experience with 2D/3D modeling software, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, or other applicable modeling software
- 2+ years of engineering coursework completed
- 3.0 GPA and above
- Must be currently enrolled at Purdue University
Responsibilities
- Coordinate material, product, and/or process qualifications per customer test plans
- Support product and process development efforts on the manufacturing floor
- Acquire and Analyze production data to identify areas for change and improvement
- Collaborate with commercial teams on reviewing new business opportunities
- Assisting with maintenance, repairs, project planning, and other tasks as assigned
- Working on projects that have a real impact to the business
- Applying education to real-world complexities through hands-on learning
