ABB is looking for interns to gain practical experience and support operations by assisting with the design, development, testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems and software.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields in the United States.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the application engineering team to design automation systems
- Assist in the development and testing of automation software
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Assist with the creation of technical sales demonstrations
- Support the development of documentation and user manuals for automation systems
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress
- Participate in product inventories and manage department equipment

- The work model for the role is onsite in Alpharetta, Georgia.
- No relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position.
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location.
- Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
