Suvi, an Akima company, is seeking an Applications Architect to lead the analysis, design, and documentation of enterprise application architectures to ensure cost containment and process improvement.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive application architecture analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Proven experience maintaining architecture documentation and ensuring compliance with enterprise frameworks.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and modeling languages (e.g., ArchiMate, UML, Sparx EA, Visio).
- Experience in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application deployment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the current application inventory to identify opportunities for integration, modernization, and cost savings.
- Develop and maintain detailed application architecture guidelines, diagrams, and documentation, including version control and release tracking.
- Ensure architectural compliance with frameworks such as TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with other architects, project managers, and technical leads to ensure that development efforts align with the overall system model and enterprise goals.
- Design, document, and monitor application layering and component dependencies, including: User Interface, Deployment, Public Interface, Application Domain, Application Infrastructure, Technical Frameworks and Platforms
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance throughout the application lifecycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desired.
- Alternatively, 5+ years of equivalent experience in IT environments may be considered.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
