AtkinsRéalis is seeking to expand its software team to perform basic software programming and customization under supervision, ensuring IT global initiatives and standards are achieved.
Requirements
- Programming skills in some of the following software packages/programming languages: .NET, VB, HTML, Java Script, XML/XSL, Action Scripting and/or similar, with ability and willingness to learn others not exposed to as yet.
- High proficiency in Microsoft products.
- Good knowledge of testing concepts, tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop customized web applications or modifies existing applications based on specification documents.
- Conduct database design, conversion, and assembly of data in a variety of formats.
- Code, test, debug, document, and install new applications and programs.
- Monitor program execution for expected performance.
- Respond to errors and emergencies that arise within applications and programs in a timely matter.
- Use coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality.
- Work within specifications provided to meet programming assignment goals and objectives within the specified timeframe.
Other
- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in applications development, programming language, program design, block diagram/flow chart, database administration, and HTML web development.
- Should have good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Receive direct supervision on new aspects of assignments.
- Consistently exercise independent judgment on regular assignments, making preliminary selections, minor modifications, and adaptation of alternatives for the design, development or modification of systems applications or programs, based on user specifications.
- Detect and solve problems by adapting standardized procedures to meet client needs or project direction.
