The Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration (DFA) is seeking a third-level professional to perform complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes, or techniques, including application design, creation, security, validation, evaluation, and implementation.
Requirements
- experience coding, debugging, and modifying existing applications.
- Utilizes a wide range of software tools in support of application creation and database design.
- experience with HTML, CSS, .NET Core, JavaScript, PHP, Python or C-Sharp, and SQL are required.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes or techniques.
- Accountable for application design and creation, application security, validation, evaluation and implementation.
- Provides complex technical support in relevant field of discipline.
- Coding, debugging, and modifying existing applications.
- Conducts testing and prepares documentation in accordance with existing standards and practices.
- Utilizes a wide range of software tools in support of application creation and database design.
- Technical customer service supporting websites
Other
- May function as team lead or supervisor of lower-level positions.
- Mentors less experienced staff.
- All interviews of candidates will be in person in Jackson, MS.
- This is an ON-SITE position and will not be considered for remote work.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5-8+ years of IT experience with emphasis in applications development and support.
