Caterpillar Inc. is looking to hire a technology professional to assist in developing, testing, and implementing application systems to support their financial services subsidiary, Cat Financial.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
- Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
- Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
- Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.
- Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.
- Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
Responsibilities
- Assists in developing, testing and implementing application systems.
- Participates in developing, coding and testing computer programs for relatively straightforward or small projects.
- Assist in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.
- Provide detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple application programs.
- Contribute solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
Other
- This position requires the successful candidate to work full time, 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.
- This position requires working onsite five days a week.
