The Applied AI Intern position will work at the intersection of full-stack development and AI, building intelligent applications that transform healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Explores foundation model APIs, vector databases, and agentic frameworks to prototype and test emerging AI solutions.
  • Demonstrated full-stack development experience (React, Node.js, Python).
  • Hands-on AI/ML project experience using foundation models.
  • Build with modern frameworks (React, Node.js, Python, etc.) while prioritizing rapid iteration.
  • Write production-quality code and design scalable APIs connecting models to user interfaces.
  • Develop data pipelines and tools that enhance analytical products and infrastructure.
  • Deploy applications using cloud services (AWS) with cost and performance optimization in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build AI-powered prototypes built on emerging technology frameworks.
  • Create MVPs and proofs-of-concept with potential for core product feature implementation.
  • Develop full-stack applications that integrate emerging technology at scale.
  • Build with modern frameworks (React, Node.js, Python, etc.) while prioritizing rapid iteration.
  • Write production-quality code and design scalable APIs connecting models to user interfaces.
  • Develop data pipelines and tools that enhance analytical products and infrastructure.
  • Deploy applications using cloud services (AWS) with cost and performance optimization in mind.

Other

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, a related field, or equivilant self-directed learning (i.e. online courses, certifications, bootcamps, personal projects)
  • Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year and full-time during breaks.
