Kenda American Technology Center (KATC) is looking to solve complex problems in today's transportation systems by advancing Kenda's global design capabilities and developing new automotive, powersport, and bicycle tires for the North American marketplace.
Requirements
- Experience with Abaqus or Hyperworks.
- Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and/or machine learning.
- Programming experience with Python, C, and/or JavaScript.
- utilize various engineering tools like finite element analysis, data mining, and machine learning to solve tire-engineering problems.
Responsibilities
- Use innovative applications like computer simulation, digital twin technology and advanced mathematical modeling to solve complex problems in today’s transportation systems.
- Study the complex nature of tires and developing new technologies to incorporate into our tires.
- Solve challenging tire performance problems.
- Study the mechanics and behavior of tire performance.
- Develop new methods and techniques for virtual tire development.
- Conduct tire research into areas like noise, vehicle performance, material mechanics, fuel economy and other tire performance areas.
- Utilize various engineering tools like finite element analysis, data mining, and machine learning to solve tire-engineering problems.

- Willingness to travel.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or Applied Mathematics.
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
