Amazon is seeking a leader to revolutionize the advertising industry by spearheading privacy-safe modeled measurements for ads, providing advertisers with insights on the effectiveness of their ads in guiding customers from awareness to purchases.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
  • Experience in causal inference, from RCT experiment design and analysis, to ML design and implementation
  • Experience building machine learning models for business application
  • Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision
  • Experience in causal measurement within advertising
  • PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience

Responsibilities

  • Setting the vision and execution of privacy safe modeled measurement solutions based on cutting-edge technologies
  • Leading teams of Applied Scientists, Economists, and Data Scientists to work backwards from customer needs and translate product ideas into concrete deliverables
  • Inventing scalable measurement solutions that support highly accurate and actionable insights
  • Solving hard problems, advancing science at Amazon, and being the leading innovator in privacy-safe modeled measurement solutions
  • Working with massive data, a dedicated engineering team, and industry-leading partner scientists
  • Translating product ideas into concrete deliverables
  • Shaping the future of Amazon Advertising

  • 4+ years of applied research experience
  • 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
  • 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
