The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team at Amazon is seeking to build industry-leading technology with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems, and is looking for an Applied Scientist to drive forward the frontier of LLM technology and enhance customer experiences.
Requirements
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience researching about machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, data science
- Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
- Experience programming or scripting language like Python, Java, C or C++
- PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
- Have publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
- Experience in solving business problems through machine learning, data mining and statistical algorithms
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with talented colleagues to lead the development of advanced approaches and modeling techniques, driving forward the frontier of LLM technology
- Innovate model-in-the-loop and human-in-the-loop approaches to ensure the collection of high-quality data
- Safeguard data privacy and security for LLM training
- Support the science solution design, run experiments, research new algorithms, and find new ways of optimizing the customer experience
- Set examples for the team on good science practice and standards
- Work closely with talented engineers and scientists to put algorithms and models into practice
