Amazon is looking to build a world-class advertising business by developing core machine learning models and model development pipelines for Sponsored Brands (SB), a mid-funnel ad product. The goal is to drive optimal ads retrieval and ranking, and deliver a relevant, engaging, and delightful ads experience to Amazon shoppers by precisely estimating shoppers' interaction with brand ads and their long-term value.
Requirements
- 1+ years of building models for business application experience
- Experience in state-of-the-art deep learning models architecture design and deep learning training and optimization and model pruning
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience working with Large Language Modeling and Large Datasets
- Experience using Unix/Linux
- Experience in professional software development
- Experience with Advertising Technology
Responsibilities
- Research and prototype LLM powered ad retrieval
- Work closely with software engineers on detailed requirements, technical designs and implementation of end-to-end solutions in production.
- Build machine learning models and utilize data analysis to deliver scalable solutions to business problems.
- Perform hands-on analysis and modeling with very large data sets to develop insights that increase traffic monetization and merchandise sales without compromising shopper experience.
- Design and run A/B experiments that affect hundreds of millions of customers, evaluate the impact of your optimizations and communicate your results to various business stakeholders.
- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning model development, model validation and serving.
- Write code to bring models into production.

- The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,400/year in our highest geographic market.
