Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team guides customers through their cloud journey to help businesses thrive by transforming and evolving their business through the use of Google's global network, web-scale data centers, and software infrastructure. Requirements
- Experience with Apigee, RESTful API design, and managing API Programs (e.g., Development, Governance, Product Management).
- Experience with working in a cloud computing environment (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms or data) with Kubernetes and deploying software into Kubernetes using Helm.
- Experience with coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet protocol networking and network path debugging strategies.
- Experience with customer-facing migration including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
- Experience with software reliability developing or operations.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation and orchestration platforms such as Jenkins, Cloud Build, ArgoCD or related.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers and guide them through deploying, migrating to, and leveraging Google Cloud’s Apigee Application programming interface (API) Management Platform.
- Provide API design expertise, Apigee product and implementation guidance, analyze existing customer API programs, and provide recommendations for customer's programs, API products, and related development practices.
- Work with Product Management and Product Developing to build and facilitate excellence in the products.
- Support customer adoption of Google Cloud products through guidance, best practices, application migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, etc.
- Deliver advisory, system designs, and solutions for the customers while serving as a technical expert.
- Interact with business and partner leads and technical stakeholders to translate customer requirements into recommendations for solutions and consulting services.
- Work with geographically dispersed internal teams, Product, and Developing to package best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
Other
- 6 years in customer-facing technical roles with presenting concepts from developers to C-level executives.
- Experience in program management.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid Cloud environments.
- Work with customers to help shape a program of work to meet their business requirements and outcomes with Google consulting services.
- Understand customer needs, help shape Google’s product strategy, and share the knowledge and skills to grow the team.
