Citi is looking to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities, especially in Payments data area.
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience in applications development, management and execution of technology programs
- 8+ years experience and good understanding of various Big Data technology skills including but not limited to Hadoop, Kafka, OpenShift, Spark etc.
- Very strong experience in AWS and related data technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, etc.
- Very strong understanding of the Payments landscape globally and also specifically Citi’s Payments landscape
- Strong understanding of Payments data applications in the big data technologies – Hadoop and Couchbase
- Strong data SME who has worked on large scale data projects and is hands-on with data analysis and repo.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high level problems especially in Payments data area
- Provide architectural oversight of the end to end Payments data flow in Information Management and actively manage and provide governance and guidance of that processes
- Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
- Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
Other
- Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
