GE Healthcare Software Engineering co-ops work on a variety of assignments with responsibilities and hands-on involvement in areas of product and test tool software development for Life Support devices (Anesthesia Systems, Vaporizers).
Requirements
- Demonstrated computer sciences/engineering skills (e.g. C++, Python, C-Sharp)
- Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering areas.
- Experience with embedded systems and developing / debugging for real HW targets.
Responsibilities
- develop and maintain real-time and non-real-time software in C++
- collaborating with senior engineers to gain experience in the software design lifecycle that is at the center of SW engineering – design, code, test, document
- gain experience developing embedded software running on actual hardware systems
- gain experience developing test tools to support the development and testing of these systems

- 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (in a 4.0 scale)
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in computer sciences/engineering or research experience in the design field
