The Defensive Equipment and Armored Vehicle Division, Office of Physical Security Programs, Bureau of Diplomatic Security needs to provide quality assurance inspection and analysis support for the Armored Vehicle (AV) Program to measure contractor’s performance, schedules, controls, and industrial processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Automotive Service technician experience
- Electrical Diagnostic experience
- Ability to interpret and apply manufacturer's repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics and engineering drawings, diagnostic codes, and safety manuals; and the ability to operate electronic test equipment.
- Problem-solving skills with an electrical aptitude
- Automotive Tech School degree or equivalent preferred
- Shall be proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project as well as with Adobe Acrobat.
Responsibilities
- Review and inspect re-installed components and electrical systems to identify any equipment defects.
- Reviewing safety systems to OE specifications
- Experience in restoring safety systems to OE specifications
- Experience with OE automotive software installation
- Knowledge of wire and connection installation and repairs
- Calibrating Advanced Safety System Components that include cameras, radar, Adaptive Cruise, Lane Keeping, etc.
- Ability to review and understand contract technical specifications.

- Strong organizational skills in order to plan each phase of an inspection and ability to meet deadlines.
- Travel required up to 75 percent annually.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
