TENICA is looking to hire an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer/Policy SME to support a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting the governance process. The role involves creating data and AI governance policy, prototyping, training, inference, and deployment of AI models, and translating trend analyses to facilitate stakeholder decision-making regarding AI technology.
Requirements
- Be an expert in the field of AI with an in-depth knowledge of AI architecture and development
- Experience translating highly technical concepts into policy and governance documents
- Demonstrate strong data acumen, understanding complex data structures and their application to AI
- Have expertise in one or more of the following subfields, or similar subfield: ethics, policy, or law pertaining to AI, data management, data-mesh, data analytics, data science, data services, and emerging technology
- Experience with specific AI applications including NLP, LLM, GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI use cases
- Experience in at least two of the following fields: AI development, AI architecture, AI policy, AI engineering, AI ethics & laws, data management, data-mesh, data analytics, data science, data services, and emerging technology
- Proficient in data management principles, data-mesh architecture, and data governance frameworks
Responsibilities
- provide hands-on work dealing with data science and AI models for prototyping, training, inference, and deployment
- creating and translating trend analyses
- Develop and implement data policies and governance structures to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies
- Experience establishing AI policy and governance documents for existing and emerging AI technology
- Experience with specific AI applications including NLP, LLM, GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI use cases
- Experience with designing, developing, and implementing AI models
Other
- Must have active TS/SCI with CI poly
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
- 5+ years collaborating with various Intel Community (IC) partners including non-DoD IC elements on information sharing
- Experience collaborating with data scientists and other Data and AI related stakeholders
- Be forward-leaning, recommending necessary improvements to achieve the customer’s vision
