UCLA Extension is looking for instructors to teach Artificial Intelligence Technology, Machine Learning, and GenAI courses to meet the professional development, continuing education, and personal enrichment needs of nontraditional students and companies.
Requirements
- PhD or MS degree in high tech, engineering, or computer science fields and minimum of 5 years of hands-on industry experience OR Bachelor's degree and 15 years of hands-on industry experience
- Professionals who are up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and innovations in the AI industry
- Professionals who hold key positions within their industries overseeing AI projects
- Experience designing curriculum on Canvas (or similar) and measuring student performance (preferred)
- Teaching experience at college-level or higher (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop and/or update existing course syllabus in consultation with the UCLA Extension Portfolio Director
- Prepare and/or update existing course materials and learning assessments in Canvas
- Communicate and teach the course objectives and learning outcomes to students
- Weekly and preferably daily interaction with students’ discussion posts on Canvas
- Conduct weekly live/zoom office hours for Q/A and to promote face-to-face engagement and communication with students
- Review students’ progress through the course assignments and apply timely grading at a minimum on a weekly basis

- Must reside in United States during the instructional quarters
