Requirements
- Programming Proficiency: Strong experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python. Proficiency with common libraries and frameworks.
- Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with Public Cloud, specifically Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and their associated Data/AI/ML services.
- DevSecOps: Proven experience with relevant DevSecOps concepts and tooling, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Git SCM, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure-as-Code (HashiCorp Terraform).
- Data Skills: Solid understanding of data structures, data modelling, and experience with common database structures/models.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex challenges independently and in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Consume and Integrate AI Models: Design, build, integrate, and deploy AI powered solutions to solve complex business challenges.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with software/data engineers, data stewards/scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable, integrated AI solutions.
- Build Production-Ready Solutions: Engineer and maintain robust solutions, with a focus scale, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Drive Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and identify opportunities to apply new technologies to advance Elanco’s mission.
- Ensure Quality & Performance: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and ensure all solutions are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.
- Translate Business Needs: Effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI-driven products and features.

- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Required Experience: 3+ years experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or relevant experience.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Industry Experience (Nice to Have): Experience in the life science, animal health, or a related regulated industry.
