At Elanco, the business and/or technical problem is to leverage AI, specifically Generative AI and Agentic AI, to drive innovation, efficiency, and value across four strategic priorities: Pipeline Acceleration (optimizing medicine search and approval), Manufacturing Excellence (improving core manufacturing processes), Sales Effectiveness (simplifying customer insight consumption), and Productivity (reducing operating expenses).
Requirements
- Strong experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python. Proficiency with common libraries and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Public Cloud, specifically Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and their associated Data/AI/ML services.
- Proven experience with relevant DevSecOps concepts and tooling, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Git SCM, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure-as-Code (HashiCorp Terraform).
- Solid understanding of data structures, data modelling, and experience with common database structures/models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex challenges independently and in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, integrate, and deploy AI powered solutions to solve complex business challenges.
- Work closely with software/data engineers, data stewards/scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable, integrated AI solutions.
- Engineer and maintain robust solutions, with a focus scale, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and identify opportunities to apply new technologies to advance Elanco’s mission.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and ensure all solutions are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.
- Effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI-driven products and features.
Other
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in the life science, animal health, or a related regulated industry.
