Cotiviti is seeking to improve clinical, financial, and operational outcomes for healthcare organizations by leveraging advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, and is looking for a Principal AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of a state-of-the-art agentic framework and centralized AI platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures
- Strong programming skills in Python; experience with Java or Go is a plus
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Databricks
- Cloud platform experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Excellent understanding of security, privacy, and regulatory compliance standards
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable agentic solutions tailored to diverse use cases within the organization
- Leverage open-source AI technologies to develop and maintain a centralized AI platform with unified APIs for cross-functional teams
- Build and deploy various types of AI agents to support internal tools and customer-facing applications
- Collaborate with Product Engineers to integrate AI agents seamlessly into existing and new applications
- Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and define the technical roadmap for the AI platform
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards throughout the software development lifecycle
- Optimize AI workloads for performance across compute and storage layers using cloud-native and open-source solutions
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years working on AI/ML platforms or infrastructure
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Participate in performance reviews, goal setting, and special projects as assigned
- Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team
