AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Farm Credit Services of America, and Frontier Farm Credit are seeking an AI Engineer Intern to help develop production-ready AI solutions that support their mission of serving rural America through affordable credit, crop insurance, and financial services.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or MIS, Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Available for a 12-week internship during the summer.
Responsibilities
- Experiment with Generative AI models, frameworks, and platforms—such as Snowflake, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and others—to explore new capabilities for AI agent automation and intelligent workflows.
- Design and implement prompt engineering strategies, including advanced techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to improve accuracy and contextual relevance.
- Evaluate Generative AI applications for performance, cost-efficiency, and ethical compliance, including bias detection and content safety.
- Engage with business units, product management, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions focusing on Generative AI solutions.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize business requirements through automation and assist in implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilize appropriate tools and adhere to best practices to implement automation and ensure the reliability of AI-driven solutions.
