LexisNexis Legal & Professional is looking to develop and launch innovative products to improve productivity and transform the overall business and practice of law, and is seeking a Data Scientist I to support the Data Science team in contributing to data preparation, modeling, analysis, and visualization efforts.
Requirements
- Have experience working directly with large language models and transformer-based architectures, including BERT, RoBERTa, T5, etc.
- Have knowledge of applying LLMs, including ChatGPT, GPT 3.5, Claude, Mistral, etc.
- Demonstrate proficient experience with machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, gradient boosting, and random forests.
- Be able to engage with leading-edge technologies while working alongside accomplished peers.
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with other data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions.
- Analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and trends that can inform AI development.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Evaluating and creating new frameworks, defining methodologies, and governance.
- Remaining informed about emerging technology trends.
- Participating in the evaluation and testing of new data science tools and technologies.

- Be on track to receive a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field of study.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
