Intuitive Machines is seeking to solve the problem of making cislunar space accessible to both public and private customers by developing and testing spacecraft subsystems, and the Assembly Integration & Test Intern will contribute to the build-up, integration, and verification of flight systems.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical systems and how they interact.
- Familiarity with tools such as LabVIEW, Python, or basic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) is a plus.
- Interest in spacecraft integration, hands-on assembly, and aerospace testing environments.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications and associates backgrounds also welcome.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and safety procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the mechanical and electrical integration of spacecraft subsystems and payloads.
- Support functional and environmental testing, including thermal vacuum, vibration, and EMI/EMC tests.
- Help execute and document test procedures, build records, and integration steps.
- Work closely with systems, test, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance with configuration and quality requirements.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, verification activities, and post-test reviews.
- Maintain organized documentation and configuration tracking for hardware during the integration lifecycle.
