The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking to enhance its faculty expertise in Autonomy, AI, and Intelligent Systems to advance research and education in areas like urban air mobility, smart aviation, electric flight, and human-centric robotics.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline by the start date
- Demonstrated expertise in Autonomy, AI and Intelligent systems
- Expertise related to the areas of urban air mobility, smart aviation, electric flight, and/or human centric robotics
Responsibilities
- Develop a significant, externally funded research program
- Mentor graduate students and post-doctoral researchers
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Participate in assigned department and university duties
- Demonstrate leadership in relevant professional and technical societies
Other
- Tenure-track Assistant Professor rank, with consideration for Associate Professor based on experience and credentials
