Lucid is looking to design for the future of electric vehicles by leading cross-functional teams to achieve specific vehicle design, attribute, and cost targets.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in automotive digital systems, preferably in EV programs.
- Proven history with systems engineering including requirements development, architecture definition, and validation planning.
- Experience with High-Voltage (HV) and Low-Voltage (LV) Architecture Design.
- Knowledge of communication protocols used in modern vehicles, including Ethernet, CAN, and LIN.
- Hands-on experience in prototype assembly, vehicle build, and service operations.
- Proven history in full production cycle of vehicle controllers: model-based design, tuning, SIL/HIL testing, and deployment.
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and their architecture.
Responsibilities
- Cross functionally pulls team together to design & develop digital architecture across embedded systems, autonomous driving stack, connectivity, infotainment, cloud integration, and vehicle E/E systems.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and develop vehicle concepts from a blank canvas, translating ideas into robust architecture proposals.
- Drive system-level and vehicle-level benchmarking to guide strategic direction and foster innovation in digital technologies and manufacturing methods.
- Represent the Chief Engineer in executive reviews, sourcing councils, engineering change requests (ECRs), and issue tracking forums.
- Ensure seamless integration of digital systems with vehicle hardware, achieving performance, safety, and reliability targets across multiple complex projects.
- Works closely with software engineering, powertrain teams for motor control integration including inverter software, torque control algorithms, and drive unit calibration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and attribute owners (e.g., Safety, Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Craftsmanship, Styling, Manufacturing) to align digital solutions with vehicle goals.
