Demand and Decision Science at US Personal Lines needs to lead cutting-edge modeling efforts to shape pricing segmentation, customer retention, and strategic business decisions. The USRM Demand & Decision Science Tactical Pricing teams are seeking individuals to use machine learning techniques to proactively identify pricing segmentation opportunities across business segments, evaluate potential solutions, and support high-impact strategic business decisions.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models.
  • Expert knowledge of predictive toolset; reflects as expert resource for tool development.

Responsibilities

  • Build complex retention, conversion, and price elasticity models using various techniques including GLMs, machine learning, and causal inference techniques.
  • Establish frameworks outlining decision-making processes to drive the identification and evaluation of tactical pricing opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of tactical pricing changes, ensuring robust consultation and collaboration across the org regarding state-specific opportunities.
  • Generate data-driven answers to open-ended strategic questions related to tactical pricing opportunities and present out on recommendations to leadership.
  • Build out semi-automated modeling processes and pipelines on metrics such as conversion, win rate, and frequency residuals to help evaluate the performance of our pricing programs from a multi-variate perspective.
  • Build out model artifacts and standardized visuals to help interpret the results of these models.
  • Regularly engage with the data science community and lead cross functional working groups.
