The University of Georgia's School of Computing (SoC) and Institute of Artificial Intelligence (IAI) are seeking to expand their faculty in the field of Artificial Intelligence to enhance research and instructional capabilities, particularly in health-oriented, human-centered, or gaming AI, and its ethical considerations.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong record of high-quality publications.
- Established record of external research funding (for Associate Professor rank).
- Backgrounds or interest in all aspects of Artificial Intelligence.
- Emphasis on health-oriented, human-centered, or gaming AI.
- Understanding of ethical considerations in AI.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research in Artificial Intelligence.
- Publish research findings in reputable venues.
- Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of AI-related curriculum.
- Collaborate with faculty within the SoC, IAI, and across other departments at UGA.
- Seek and secure external research funding.
- Contribute to the academic and research mission of the School of Computing and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
