Binghamton University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a faculty member to expand research expertise in control systems, particularly in robotics, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Record of scholarship as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and citations
- Experience with experimental focus
- Synergy with the research areas of our existing faculty, including Power & Energy, Cyber Physical Resilience & AI Security, Quantum Information Science & Engineering, Bioelectronics & Bioinformatics, and Semiconductors
- Experience in proposal writing (preferred)
- Commitment to research
- Commitment to inclusive academic culture
Responsibilities
- Engage in scholarly activities
- Establish and lead an externally funded research program
- Maintain excellence in teaching students at the BS, MS, and PhD levels
- Expand research expertise in control systems and their practical implementation
- Contribute to collaborative initiatives across Binghamton University
- Help advance Watson College's commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive academic environment
- Develop and teach courses in the area of control systems and robotics
