General Motors is looking to solve the business problem of managing the growth for OnStar Protect Services, which includes tracking execution against business plans, ensuring readiness for go-to-market, and supporting the Protect suite—featuring services like automatic crash response, stolen vehicle assistance, emergency services, and OnStar Guardian.

Requirements

  • Experience building, analyzing, and communicating business cases in partnership cross functionally to all levels of leadership.
  • Experience working with market research and analytics to curate customer insights and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Define target customer, market positioning, and key areas of differentiation for products and features within domain.
  • Support the development of new strategies and identification of new opportunities that meet the protect value proposition with a cross functional group of General Motors stakeholders on the marketing, product, sales and channel teams.
  • Build and support comprehensive business cases in partnership with Product Management and Finance
  • Deliver core value proposition and messaging plans for products, features and experiences.
  • Support the go-to-market strategy for new products/features, including pricing, packaging and sales strategies
  • Build channel and distributions plans for products, features, and experiences.
  • Apply data and analytics methodologies to set direction and prove/disprove hypotheses in our strategies.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels of the company
  • Ability to organize and plan effectively, in an ambiguous and continually changing environment
  • Highly developed oral and written communications skills, with a focus on succinct, simple messaging
