The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida is seeking to expand its faculty by hiring two tenure-earning Assistant Professors of Electrical Engineering to enhance its educational programs and research capabilities.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or closely-related field
  • demonstrate a record of scholarly achievement
  • evidence of teaching excellence
  • potential to establish an independent, externally funded research program
  • collaborate effectively with existing faculty across disciplines at UNF in areas including renewable energy, mircogrids, controls and robotics, advanced manufacturing, cyber security, communications and embedded systems
  • strong commitment to teaching excellence
  • willingness to engage in continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with a 2/2 teaching load
  • leading an externally funded research program in their field
  • service to the School, College of Computing, Engineering and Construction and the University of North Florida
  • establish an independent, externally funded research program
  • collaborate effectively with existing faculty across disciplines at UNF in areas including renewable energy, mircogrids, controls and robotics, advanced manufacturing, cyber security, communications and embedded systems
