The School of Engineering at the University of North Florida is seeking to expand its faculty by hiring two tenure-earning Assistant Professors of Electrical Engineering to enhance its educational programs and research capabilities.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or closely-related field
- demonstrate a record of scholarly achievement
- evidence of teaching excellence
- potential to establish an independent, externally funded research program
- collaborate effectively with existing faculty across disciplines at UNF in areas including renewable energy, mircogrids, controls and robotics, advanced manufacturing, cyber security, communications and embedded systems
- strong commitment to teaching excellence
- willingness to engage in continuous learning
Responsibilities
- teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with a 2/2 teaching load
- leading an externally funded research program in their field
- service to the School, College of Computing, Engineering and Construction and the University of North Florida
- establish an independent, externally funded research program
