Colorado State University is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, with a focus on artificial intelligence, to contribute to research and teaching in computer science and data science.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in computer science or closely-related field
- Demonstrated research expertise in artificial intelligence
- Record of scholarly publications in artificial intelligence
- Ability to develop and teach computer science courses at all levels
- Demonstrated ability or potential to procure external funding
Responsibilities
- Perform research in their area of computer science expertise
- Actively seek research funding to support their research
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate students
- Teach two semester-long computer science courses per year
- Contribute to the department, University, and discipline through reviewing, conference organization, department and university self-governance and other activities
- Advance the department’s and university’s missions through outreach activities
- Develop and teach computer science courses at all levels
