Springfield College is launching a Data Science program in Fall 2026 and seeks colleagues with a forward-looking vision in the data sciences fields.
Requirements
- expertise in Statistics and Probability Theory or Machine Learning
Responsibilities
- teach 12 credits per semester in the department, teaching courses in data science, probability and computer science applications
- Scholarship and contributions to the professional community are expected
- preference will be given to candidates who can strive to incorporate undergraduates into their respective scholarly work
Other
- Master's Degree in Data or Computer Science required
- Ph.D in Computational Science or related field preferred
- College level teaching experience required
- Active research agenda or evidence of research potential is preferred
- Must demonstrate a commitment to equity in the classroom
