Granger Construction Company is looking for an Assistant Project Engineer Intern to support project managers and field teams in managing and executing construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, industry standards, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new software.
- Proficiency in construction management software like ProCore, ViewPoint, or Microsoft Project.
Responsibilities
- Support project managers and field teams by assisting in project documentation, scheduling, and coordination of daily activities.
- Review project drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project goals and compliance with industry standards.
- Track and document project progress, including daily logs, material deliveries, and work completed.
- Participate in on-site meetings to gain exposure to real-time problem-solving and decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals to ensure project milestones are met.
- Contribute to maintaining project safety standards by observing and reporting on-site conditions.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, supporting procurement and logistics activities.
