The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences is seeking to enhance its research capabilities in wildlife ecology and conservation by hiring a Non-Tenure-Track Faculty member. This role will focus on applied research, developing decision support tools for management actions, and contributing to the educational mission of the department.
Requirements

- programming skills in the language R
- demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication including presentations at national meetings and peer-reviewed publications in the top journals in their field
Responsibilities
- applied research on species population dynamics and decision support tools to evaluate management actions
- work with cooperators to ensure management relevancy of models and analyses
- present and publish research findings at meetings and in peer-reviewed journals
- participate in grant writing efforts
- chairing graduate committees
- serving on graduate committees
- supervising undergraduate research
Other
- Highest degree possible in field; Evidence of pertinent experience for the position and qualities for the academic unit.
- Candidates must possess a doctorate (foreign equivalent acceptable) in Biological or Wildlife Science, or a related field.
- Candidates should have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication, interpersonal relationships, and procurement of extramural funding.
