Lane Bryant is looking to solve the problem of creating well-fitting, consistently sized garments that meet their brand standards by hiring an Assistant Technical Designer to support the Technical Design team.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, basic grading, and vendor/factory communication
- Strong working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Illustrator
- Flex PLM experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Help prepare technical specification packages with garment construction details
- Measure garments, attend fit sessions and prepare fit session notes/ reports
- Provide vendors with additional corrective action recommendations illustrated by photos, diagrams, and email communication
- Act as the liaison for communication between Merchandising, Product Development, Design and Quality Control for the quality process and the resolution of issues and problems
- Organize and file fit samples/patterns for each collection/season
- Review customer feedback data and partner with Senior Technical Designer to implement corrective actions
- Work with Sr. Technical Designer to compile weekly & quarterly reports of customer reviews
Other
- A degree in Apparel Design, Technical Design or Fashion Design
- 1-3 years of experience in Technical Design, Production, Design, Product Development, and/or Store Operations
- Detail oriented and deadline driven with strong with organizational skills
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Travel may be required
