L3Harris is seeking to hire an Associate Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support their operations at the John C. Stennis Space Center, MS. The intern will gain experience in basic engineering and lean manufacturing principles, theories, and concepts, contributing to the company's mission-critical needs in the defense industry, particularly in space and aerospace programs.
Requirements
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (or similar major) OR enrolled in an advanced degree program in related major, and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
Responsibilities
- learn and/or use basic engineering and lean manufacturing principles, theories and concepts.
- authoring work instructions using drawings and other requirements
- performing modifications to mechanical and fluid test systems
- any special projects as directed
- performs entry-level test engineering assignments
Other
- The intern will have an opportunity to learn and/or use basic engineering and Operations principles, theories and concepts.
- Under close supervision and following specific detailed instructions, the intern performs entry-level test engineering assignments
- Responsibilities include both general and specialized assignments that provide training and work experience of a developmental nature.
