Priceline is looking to hire an Associate Data Engineer to work on data systems that serve and generate billions of events every single day, using big data technologies to understand, meet, and anticipate customer needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Data Engineering experience using Python
- Experience in writing and analyzing SQL constructs.
- Basic knowledge of Big Data solutions such as Hadoop, Spark
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools - Tableau and VisualCron.
- Experienced with strategies such as indexing, machine-learned rankings, clustering and distributed concepts.
Responsibilities
- Participate in cloud migration and modernizing current data systems.
- Support data systems that serve hundreds of millions of real time events a day.
- Maintain and craft early warning and analytics systems using groundbreaking big data technologies.
- Collaborate on building software that collects and queries data, while also composing queries for investigation purposes.
- Analyze and provide data supported recommendations to improve product performance and customer acquisition.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues within data infrastructure.
