The Boeing Company is seeking to develop and optimize advanced AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Generative AI (GenAI) models within its Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division, aiming to contribute to AI-driven applications and address business challenges.
Requirements
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Exposure to data engineering tools (e.g., SQL, Spark)
- 1+ year of experience in data science or machine learning.
- 1+ year of experience in programming in Python and familiarity with data engineering workflows (e.g., Spark, Airflow, SQL).
- Experience fine-tuning open-source models and integrating APIs from commercial providers.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience in AI ethics and governance in generative models.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and deployment of models.
- Support the design and implementation of pipelines for model fine-tuning and evaluation.
- Help in developing prompt engineering strategies and embedding techniques.
- Contribute to the prototyping of applications that address business challenges.
- Participate in model performance evaluation and assist in bias/fairness assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support model inference and monitoring.
- Stay updated on AI/ML/GenAI trends and tools, and share insights with the team.

- This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
- The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
