Talbots is looking to hire a designer to create original product designs for handbags and SLGs, ensuring alignment with seasonal fashion direction, assortment opportunities, and merchandise trends.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience at a level normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of related experience
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical package process, to include drawings, measurements and design detail specifications and hands off to Technical Design
- Maintains specification sheets, trim sheets and pitch sheets
- Assists in making Design Presentation Boards
- Researches competitive market and presents results and ideas to Designer
- Assists in executing designs to the Conceptual Assortment Plan slots while staying within the pre-determined development ratios
- Conducts fit sessions (first through fourth fits) and keeps supervisor informed
- Creation of original product design through vision and illustration of design concepts into Handbags and SLGs
