Lane Bryant is seeking an Associate Designer to support the Design Team in executing seasonal concept direction, line plan style needs, margin requirements, and product completion, while also providing tactical and administrative support for specified categories.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a design related position for a fashion retailer.
- Background in fit, fabric development, finishes and construction details.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Prior PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO and Kaleidostyle experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist Sr. Designer/Designer in creating the product collections at the beginning of each season for specific category/categories
- Support design team by preparing necessary visual tools (i.e. sketches, line sheets in google slides, presentation boards, fabric swatches, color standards, etc)
- Email daily communication to agent/vendor offices as needed
- Assist in coordinating category samples and CADs for line review and Line Coordination
- Attend all Fit sessions pertaining to your category/categories
- Partner and communicate with Sourcing to ensure accurate translation of design intent
- Assist in all sketching seasonal assortment, creating accurate seasonal tech packs, tech pack updates and line sheets per categories under direction of the Sr. Designer and/or designer
