Raymond James is looking to build and lead a software engineering team from the ground up to develop and support their next-generation Recruiting Portal, aiming to optimize the recruiting process with a scalable, user-friendly platform.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience building and scaling web applications or platforms.
- Strong understanding of modern front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., Angular/React, Java, Oracle, cloud platforms).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Background in building user-centric platforms with strong UX/UI principles
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a software engineering team focused on designing, developing, and maintaining a modern recruiting portal.
- Contribute to, and advance, the architecture and technology stack in alignment with business goals and scalability needs.
- Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the recruiting platform.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.

- This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month.
