Humana is looking to establish and implement hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance, and retention policies, standards, and procedures that are aligned with IT standards and strategy. The Associate Director; Software Renewals will lead the strategic oversight and execution of software renewal activities across Humana’s enterprise to ensure optimal value from software investments, mitigate risk, and align renewal strategies with business and IT priorities.
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in project management methodologies, tools, understanding of IT products and services, including software, hardware, and cloud solutions.
- Business analysis skills to drive and implement sourcing programs and services aligned with business partners strategies.
- Experience with e-procurement and contract lifecycle management systems such as Coupa Sourcing, Icertis, SFDC Lightning CRM.
- Experience with IT management systems such as LeanIX, SAMPro, NextThink
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end software renewal lifecycle for enterprise applications and platforms.
- Develop and execute renewal strategies aligned with Humana’s technology roadmap, budget, and compliance requirements.
- Establish governance frameworks for software renewals, including escalation paths, approval workflows, and renewal thresholds.
- Partner with IT, Legal, Finance, and business partners to ensure timely, cost-effective renewals.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and compliance.
- Maintain a centralized renewal calendar and proactively manage upcoming renewals.
- Analyze software usage, licensing models, and contract terms to identify optimization opportunities.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in a business or technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams
- Indirect Procurement experience identifying potential ‘best fit’ suppliers for internal business partner needs.
- Experience developing strategy, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong financial and business acumen (understanding/ability to communicate ‘revenue recognition’, SLA’s, to external partners).
