Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer to join their team of qualified, diverse individuals to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience with Linux/Unix Operating Systems
  • 6 months experience with C/C++
  • Experience with RedHat Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience with Qt
  • Experience developing real-time software on both Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with regression testing, unit testing and automated testing
  • Experience working on Department of Defense (DOD) software development efforts

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to, and integrated with, engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements
  • Apply the appropriate Software Engineering standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, and display systems
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel
  • Travel to customer site for installation of our software applications upon completion (dependent on program phase)
  • Responsible for the full software lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration.

Other

  • Must have U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to maintain this level of clearance for continued employment.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering or related STEM degree field and a minimum of 6 months of professional/related experience
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Travel to customer site for installation of our software applications upon completion (dependent on program phase)
