The agency's Workforce Technology Division (WTD) needs to provide reliable, integrated, and effective solutions to increase efficiency and provide a secure technology environment for employees and constituents. The IT Associate Application Developer position exists to provide support toward numerous department production systems currently in operations, addressing urgent issues and ensuring the smooth functioning of agency software systems.

Requirements

  • two (2) years of experience in software programming

  • testing in all phases of the software development life cycle

Responsibilities

  • provide support toward numerous department production systems currently in operations
  • provides production support toward daily operational issues that may require an advanced level of support and in-depth analysis of a problem
  • Support work by this position may include data analysis, debugging code, understanding system logs, end user support, and on-going system monitoring
  • provide daily production support for agency software systems
  • address urgent issues within the IT service backlog
  • provide support duties to include nightly batch monitoring, escalation handling, data requests
  • perform requirements gathering, analysis, software development, and testing in all phases of the software development life cycle

Other

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
  • Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
