Globus Medical is looking for an Associate Metrology Technician to ensure the precision, performance, and accuracy of instruments and gauges, which is critical for delivering innovations that improve the quality of life for patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
Requirements
- Knowledge of metrology principles and hand measurement tools
- Experience with calibration procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, 3D CAD models, technical manuals and diagrams
- Basic knowledge of GD&T principles
- Computer skills for using specialized software to control measurement systems and for documenting results.
Responsibilities
- Perform precise measurements using metrology equipment, blueprints, gauges and overlay drawings
- Ensure all measurement tools and equipment are calibrated correctly
- Prepare, upload and store Device History Records (DHRs)
- Document and report all measurement, calibration, and test results
- Provides certificates of calibration based on an acceptable quality level of pre-inspected gauges to approve their use in-house, or for suppliers.
- Analyze and interpret measurement data
- Identify and solve any problems that may affect the accuracy of measurements
Other
- Associate degree in Metrology, Engineering or relevant field preferred; certification in metrology is a plus, or 2 years of relevant experience within Metrology, Quality Control or similar roles within highly regulated environment
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in all measurements and reports.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with peers and to establish relationships across the organization and at various hierarchical levels
