BD is looking to solve the problem of integrating multiple products to enable solution-driven applications in hospitals.
Requirements
- Experience with design for manufacturing, process validation and design transfer
- Familiarity with Mechatronics Analysis & Design
- Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers
- Project management experience for complex systems
- Experience in a proven design process (e.g. DFSS) over multiple programs
- Understanding of IEC 60601-1 & Infusion Pump lifecycle guidance
- Skills in integrating multiple subsystems and components, including pumps, motors, sensors, and user interfaces
Responsibilities
- Work with R&D leadership, Medical Affairs and Marketing to understand hospital pain-points and define workflows
- Serve as a System-HW architect for infusion platforms
- Drive common architecture and standardization across multiple product platforms
- Act as infusion Subject Matter Expert to help drive complex problems across platforms
- Ensure correct application of test strategies and methodologies based on standards and guidances
- Safety Critical Systems: Understanding of safety-critical design principles and techniques
- System Integration: Skills in integrating multiple subsystems and components
Other
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering field (Mechanical, Systems, Physics, Electrical, Biomedical, Software) required
- Minimum 10 years of growing responsibility in R & D technical engineering roles or a PhD in a relevant engineering discipline with 8 years of industry experience
- Regulated industry experience (FDA, Automotive, Industrial, etc.)
- Must reside within commuting distance to San Diego, CA
- 4 days per week ONSITE in San Diego, CA - 1 day REMOTE
