L3Harris Fuzing & Ordnance Systems (L3Harris FOS) needs a Quality Engineer to protect customers in regard to product quality and ensure contract requirements are met.
Requirements
- Knowledge of electronics assembly including automated electronics assembly
- Experience in mechanical manufacturing or electronics industries
- Knowledge in industry standards (ISO 9000, ANSI J-STD-001, etc.)
- Experience in engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Understanding of inspection and gaging
- Experience in automated electronic assembly and manufacturing methods with familiarity with J-STD-001
Responsibilities
- Review purchase order, contract, and specification to determine quality requirements
- Prepare Certifications of Conformance (C of C) for materials and services delivered to Government / customer
- Coordinate with Government / customer to schedule source inspection of materials and services as required
- Manage all inspection points in the manufacturing process and determine inspection for supplied parts
- Work with program team in reviewing overall manufacturing process and technical data package
- Analyze quality performance and collaborate with program team to develop improvement plans for the identified problem areas

- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
