The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Real-Time Software Engineer to support the Electrostatically Supported Gyro Navigator Replacement (ESGNR) software team, which develops and maintains real-time operational software for a United States Navy submarine navigator.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in real-time software development
  • 1+ years of experience programming in C/C++
  • 1+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
  • 1+ years of experience in software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage
  • Experience with software lifecycle practices, agile methodology, and repositories, such as JIRA and Git
  • Experience developing in Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with real-time software architecture, development, design

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of real-time software designs and interfaces
  • Implement navigation algorithms in source code
  • Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
  • Deploys software processes and tools
  • Troubleshoots software issues
  • Works collaboratively and under general supervision

Other

  • Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Less than 10% travel required
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (preferred)
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
