Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C, JavaScript)
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and version control tools (Git/GitHub)
- Internship or project experience in software development, data engineering, or cloud environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with modern frameworks, tools, and DevOps practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and automated testing concepts
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software applications
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern programming practices
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and performance
- Contribute to the development of APIs, services, and system integrations that support Labcorp’s data and technology platforms
- Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Document technical processes, workflows, and best practices
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for innovation and improvement
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
